He was born May 6, 1922, in New Knoxville, to Henry F. and Margaret (Rain) Warner. On June 20, 1943, he married Evelyn Gieseke, who survives. Other survivors are two daughters, Carole Eversman Laveen, Cincinnati, and Susan of New Bremen; a grandson, a great-grandson and a stepgreat-granddaughter. Deceased are three brothers, Oliver, Raymond and Florence. He was retired after working as an assembler at STAMCO, New Bremen, sold doll house miniatures and was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ and Woodman of the World Camp 149, both of New Bremen. Services are at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Gilberg Funeral Home, New Bremen, the Rev. John W. Tostrick officiating. Burial is at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen. Calling is 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where Woodman services are at 7:30. Contributions can be made to the American Lung Association, New Bremen Emergency Squad or the Church memorial fund.
