Additional: Joseph G. Teeters, Jr., 58, W. Auglaize St., Wapakoneta, died at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000, at St. Rita's Medical Center, in Lima. He was born July 16, 1942, in Ridgeway to Joseph and Roseanna (Ferris) Teeters Sr. On Oct. 11, 1969, he married Paula G. Minaugh, who survives. Additional survivors include one daughter, Susan (Alex) Hawson of Wapakoneta; one son, Brian P. Teeters of Wapakoneta; one granddaughter, GraceAnne Elizabeth Hawson; three brothers, Bill (Deb) Teeters of Lakeview, Bob (Donna) Teeters of Kenton and Richard (Ann) Teeters of Ada; three sisters, Liz (Steve) Bowman, Alisa (Dan) Purcell and Cheryl (Jeff) Wood, all of Kenton. Mr. Teeters worked as a salesman with Tracy Appliances in Lima for 21 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Special Forces, 8th group, having served in Panama. He was a member of the Eagles 691, the American Legion Post 330, the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 8445, the National Rifle Association and the Amvets Post 333, all of Wapakoneta. He was a graduate of Mt. Sterling High School in Madison and attended Wilmington College. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesay at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home in Wapakoneta. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Wapakoneta, where military graveside services will be conducted by the Amvets Kenton Post 1994. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tri-County Visiting Nurses and Hospice.
