Additional: Elijah Thomas, 84, of Buckland, died Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Zerkle of Cridersville, where he had been residing for the past week after becoming ill. A native of Allen county he was born July 27, 1864, a son of Enoch and Rebecca Miller Thomas. He had resided in Buckland for the past 25 years. His wife, Mary Catherine, died in 1915. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Zerkle and Mrs. Ida Metzger of Wapakoneta Route 4; four sons Raymond of New Bremen Route 1, Frank of Lima Route 1; Messe of Lima, and Harley of Lima, 23 grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from the Bayliff Funeral Home, Cridersville at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Burial will be in St. Matthews cemetery, near Cridersville.
