Additional: Lucile E. Ruppert, 87, 404 W. Auglaize St., Wapakoneta, died at 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima following a brief illness. She was born July 14, 1913 in Wapakoneta, the daughter of Frederick W. and Amelia M. (Eisert) Nester. On May 23, 1940, she married Edward B. Ruppert Sr., who died April 19, 1986. Survivors include two sons, Edward B. (Sue) Ruppert Jr. of Gahanna and Eric B. Ruppert of Wapakoneta; two daughters, Anita M. Ruppert of Dayton and Ellen (John) Tubridy of Pittsburgh; a sister, Agnes (William) Hines of Troy; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two infant daughters, a daughter-in-law, Linda A. Ruppert; three brothers, James Nester, Thomas Nester, and Harold Nester; and two sisters, Norma Tieben and Martha Bauer. A homemaker, Mrs. Ruppert was a 1931 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Wapakoneta. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wapakoneta and the former Catholic Ladies of St. Joseph. She was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 1272 Auxiliary in Wapakoneta and was formerly active with several organizations within St. Joseph High School. She was a volunteer with the Red Cross Bloodmobile program, a former election poll worker in Wapakoneta and an avid bridge player. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. William Eilerman and the Rev. William O'Donnell officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Wapakoneta. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Long & Folk Funeral Home, Wapakoneta Chapel in Wapakoneta. A Christian Prayer Service wil be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to St. Joseph School.
