Additional: Mariann L. Pape, 85, 121 North Water Street, New Bremen died Sunday approximately 1:30 p.m. of an apparent heart attack in her home. Born March 26, 1902 in German Township, New Bremen to Herman and Fridonia Kuenning Blanke, she married Adolph A. Pape on April 24, 1920. He died December 7, 1960. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ned (Marjorie) Metzger of Alliance and Mrs. Barbara Schmidt of New Bremen. Also surviving are two grandchildren, two great- grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Wesley (Wilhelmina) Crow of Lima and Mrs. Eloise Harland of Pontiac, Michigan. A homemaker, she was a member of the New Bremen Senior Citizens and St. Paul's United Church of Christ, New Bremen. The funeral will be held Wednesday, April 1, at 2 p.m. at Gilberg Funeral Home, New Bremen, with the Reverend Dr. Wade J. Schemmel officiating. The burial will take place at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Memorials can be sent to St. Paul's Church Memorial Fund or New Bremen Emergency Squad.
