Additional: Wapakoneta—William L. Helmstetter, 67, Infirmary Road, died Monday, June 18, 2001, at 12:26 a.m. at his residence. He was born Aug 4, 1933, in St. Marys, the son of Angelo and Kathryn (Klosterman) Helmstetter. On Nov. 4, 1954, he married the former Marilyn E. Brinkman, who survives. He is survived by a daughter, Ann E. Bruns of Jackson Center; two sons; two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Jeannie ) Kuenning of new Bremen and Mrs. A. (Kathleen) Bergman of Yorkshire; two brothers; and 10 grandchildren. a son preceded him in death. Mr. Helmstetter worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. for 25 years, retiring in 1993. He was a supervisor and lab inspector. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of Knights of Coumbus Council 1272. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed boating and caring for his home and yard. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Peter Chiodo officiating. Burial will full military honors conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8445 will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Wapakoneta. Friends may call at Bayliff and Eley Funeral Home in Wapakoneta Wednesday from 2-4 and 7- 9 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 8:45 p.m.
