Additional: Robert H. Henschen, 66 of 17401 Wenger Road, Botkins, died at 9 a.m. Monday at Lima Memorial Hospital following an 18 month illness. He was born Sept 24, 1918, in New Knoxville, the son of Henry and Hilda Lammers Henschen. On July 12, 1942, he married Rachael Katterheinrich, who survives. Survivors also include one son, Gary Henschen of Botkins; one daughter, Mrs. Ted (Sue) Willke of Rolling Meadows, Ill.; five grandchildren; one brother, Curtis Henschen of Sidney; and one sister, Mrs. Don (Dorothy) May of Botkins. A retired farmer, Mr. Henschen was a Dinsmore Township Trustee for Shelby County. He was a former member of the Botkins Board of Education and the Shelby County Board of Education . A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Henschen was also the State Director of the Ohio Township Trustee Association. He was also a former Council Member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Gilberg Funeral Home in New Bremen.
