Additional: New Knoxville—Noah N. Hoelscher, 89, 05900 Botkins Road, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 1995 at 1:35 p.m. at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 30, 1906 in Shelby County to George and Anna (Lammers) Hoelscher. On Aug. 26, 1933, he married Alvera R. Mahn who died Aug. 26, 1995. He is survived by son Roger and Sandy Hoelscher of New Knoxville; daughter, Darrell and Mary Kuck of New Knoxville; sister Esther Elshoff of St. Marys; brother Elmer Hoelscher of New Knoxville; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sisters, Ruby Juaert and Martha Schroer and an infant brother. Mr. Hoelscher was a lifelong farmer. He was a member of First United Church of Christ and a former elder and deacon of the church. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the church with the Rev. David Hunt officiating. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 2 to 9 p.m. at Vornholt-Miller Funeral Home in New Knoxville Memorial contributions may be made to the Radio broadcast fund of the church.
