Additional: New Knoxville—Adrian E. Haberkamp, 104 E. German St., died at 8:21 p.m. Tuesday, Sept 3, 1996, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys. He was born Jan. 24, 1924, in New Knoxville to Benjamin and Bertha (Wierwille) Haberkamp. On June 21, 1952, he married Helen Marie Rowland, who survives. He is also survived by two sons, Randall E., Los Angeles, Calif.; Brian L., New Bremen; and a brother, Eldon, New Knoxville. Mr. Haberkamp was the former owner of Haberkamp Jewelers and the founder and general manager of Airport Manufacturing. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, serving in a heavy artillery unit, and a member of American Legion Post 444 and VFW Post 9289 in St. Marys. He was a member of the New Knoxville Civic Association and Gideons. He was a member of First United Church of Christ. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. David Hunt officiating. Burial will be in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Vornholt-Miller Funeral Home. The preferred memorials are to the church building fund or the radio fund.
