Additional: Lee E. Fry, 57, Greenville, died at 8:21 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2001, at his home. He was born Aug. 30, 1943, in St. Marys the son of Harold "Butch" and Helen (Elsea) Fry. His father survives in St. Marys. On June 5, 1965, he married Sandie S. Veno, who survives. Other survivors include two sons, Christopher (Tammie) Fry and Brett Everett Fry, both of Greenville; two brothers, Louie Fry of St. Marys and Jake Fry of New Bremen; four sisters, Tana Wenning, Brenda Fishbaugh and Sandy K. Weiman, all of Celina, and Marty Wisener of St. Marys; three grandchildren, Monica, Colleen and Nathan Fry; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother. Mr. Fry was an attorney, practicing law in Greenville since 1972. From 1975 to 1984, he served as the Darke County prosecuting attorney. Prior to that he served five years in the U.S. Air Force. A 1968 graduate of Ohio Northern University, he graduated in 1972 from the Ohio Northern University School of Law with a doctor of jurisprudence degree. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Greenville, and the Knights of Columbus, Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, Eagles Lodge, American Legion and the 40 and 8 of the Legion, all in Greenville. He was also a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Darke County Bar Association, the National District Attorneys Association and the Ohio Prosecuting Attorneys Association. He very much enjoyed his family, gourmet cooking and fishing. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m.Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenville with the Rev. John White officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Church Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the Zechar Balley Funeral Home in Greenville. Prayer services will be held at 4:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. The Elks will conduct a Lodge of Sorrow at 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, followed by full military services conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard.
