Additional: William M. Case, 76, 05151 County Road 33A, St. Marys, died Sept. 17 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys. He was born April 8, 1923, in St. Marys, to William and Agnes (Fannon) Case. On Aug. 22, 1953, he married Theresa Dietz, who survives in St. Marys. Other survivors are three daughters and their husbands, Linda and Randy Hoying, St. Henry, Diane and John Moore, Cincinnati, and Susan and Donald Gossman, Corydan, Ind.; a son and his wife, William and Vera, of St. Marys; and four grandchildren. Deceased is a daughter, Carol. He was retired from Parker Hannifin Co., St. Marys, and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Battery D of the 197th Anti-Aircraft Division. He stormed Normandy Beach on the D-Day Invasion of France. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post 323 and Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge Aerie 767, all of St. Marys, and the National Rifle Association. He was a 1941 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. David Heinl officiating. Burial with military graveside rites is at Gethsemane Cemetery in St. Marys. Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, with a memorial service at 7 p.m. conducted by the American Legion, and a prayer service at 8 p.m. Contributions can be made to the church.
