Additional: Monte L. Billger, 74, 212 N. LeBlond St., Celina, died at 12:30 a.m. June 8, at his residence. He was born April 16, 1927, in Wapakoneta, to Harry and Lucille (Weber) Billger. On Sept. 24, 1949, he married June Yaney, who survives. Other survivors are a son and his wife, Gary and Carol of Celina; a brother and his wife, Lee and Ruth of Celina; a sister, Linda Widman, Apache Junction, Ariz.; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren. Deceased is an infant daughter, Marilyn Jean, and a brother, Carlyle. He was a retired inspector for the former New Idea, Coldwater, and a retired antique metal refinisher. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Celina. Services are 1:30 p.m. Monday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Steve Clayton officiating. Burial is at North Grove Cemetery, Celina. Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Contributions can be made to the Darke/Mercer County Hospice.
