Additional: Louis Q. "Toot" Boltz, 42, 819 E. Sycamore St., Van Wert, died Thursday morning Feb. 15, 2001, in an automobile crash on U.S. Route 33 in Mercer County. He was born Aug. 6, 1958, in St. Marys, the son of Louis C. and Millicent (Chiles) Boltz. His parents survive in rural Van Wert. Other survivors include his fiance, Yvonne Moonlafountaine of Van Wert; a daughter, Kristin Michelle Boltz of Altus, Okla.; a son, James Boltz of Tennessee Colony, Texas; two sisters, Barb(John) Mihm of St. Marys and Beverly (Carl) Ward of Marionville, Mo.; a grandchild and a niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Boltz and a nephew, Shannon Mihm. Mr. Boltz was an employee of the Superwash Car Wash in St. Marys. A 1976 graduate of Memorial High school in St. Marys, he enjoyed Nascar racing, Harley Davidson motorcycles and billiards. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys with the Rev. Keith Stuck officiating. A private family burial will follow. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.
