Additional: Carl W. Bowersock, 76, 7110 Ohio 66, Fort Loramie, died at 7:05 p.m. Aug. 5, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind., following a massive heart attack. He was born Dec. 18, 1942, in Buckland to Lester S. and Violet Mae (Zimmerman) Bowersock. Following the death of his wife, Betty (Poppe) Bowersock, he married Betty A. Marchal on Nov. 29, 1986 and she survives. Other survivors are three sons and their wives, Lester and Roni of Kansas City, Mo., Ken and Rose of St. Marys and Jeff and Kate of St. Marys; a stepson and his wife, Steven and Mary Watercutter of Fort Loramie; two stepsons, Rick Poppe, Celina and Mark Mulligan, St. Marys; two stepdaughters and their husbands, Sandra and Ed Fortman of St. Marys and Deb and Mark Uhlenhake of Celina; three stepdaughters, Beverly Schwartz, St. Marys, Cynthia May, Lithia Springs, Ga., and Michelle Mulligan, Sidney; two brothers and their wives, Norman and Betty of St. Marys and Harry and Jean of Dayton; 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Deceased are a brother, Edward Bowersock, and two sisters, Isabella Daniels and Anna Thomas. He was retired from Ford Motor Co. and also worked at Industry Products in Piqua. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in World War II and was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Newport, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (V.F.W.), St. Marys and American Legion Post 323, St. Marys. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Don Shelander officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
