Additional: Toledo—Thomas R. Whitehead, 63, of Toledo, formerly of St. Marys, died Sunday, July 23, 1989, at Riverside Hospital, Toledo. He was born in St. Marys on June 9, 1926, a son of Inez and Guy Whitehead, both of whom are deceased. He moved to the Toledo area approximately 20-25 years ago. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Whitehead; two sons, Patrick and Preston Meyer; two daughters, Penny Cox and Patricia Nelson; two stepsons, Thomas A. and Terrace Sharkey; four stepdaughters, Delores Sharkey, Mrs. Diane Ruybal, Mrs. Denese Lobato and Mrs. Deborah Rameraz; and 16 grandchildren. Mr. Whitehead was a self-employed auctioneer for the past seven yeaars, up until the time of his illness. He was U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4906, Toledo, and a member of the Ohio Auctioneers Association. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home, Coy Road, Oregon (Ohio), where the body will be after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
