Additional: Richard L. Weimert, 87, of Wapakoneta, died at 9:15 p.m. Thursday, Sept 27, 2001, at Auglaize Acres. He was born June 12, 1914, in Wapakoneta to C. Fred and Teresa (Zink) Weimert. He is survived by two sisters, Cecilia Deschler, San Diego, Calif.; Mary McGarry, Ontario, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Vernon, Harold and Roland Weimert; two sisters, Marjorie Hargis and Pauline McKinley. Mr. Weimert retired in 1977 from Clark Equipment Company, Lima. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta. He was a member of Elks 1170 and Eagles 691, both of Wapakoneta. He was a 1932 graduate of St. Joseph High School where he was captain of the 1931-1932 basketball team. He was an avid sports enthusiast. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. William Eilerman officiaing. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Wapakoneta. Friends may call at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta. Memorials may be directed to the Wapakoneta School Athletic Department.
