Additional: Tragedy struck in Ft. Loramie Saturday when Paul Franklin Wietholter, 25 month old son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wietholter drowned in shallow water at Koverman's Landing, Lake Loramie, where the family moved from St. Marys last July. Mrs. Wietholter discovered the body of her son partially submerged in the water a short distance from the Wietholter cottage. The victim and his brother Daniel, 4, had wandered from home after lunch. Shortly afterwards Mrs. Wietholter noticed Paul was not in sight. She walked to the water's edge where she found his body. Artificial respiration was administered for nearly two hours after the child was removed from the lake but without success. He was born in New Bremen on March 13, 1947. Surviving with the grief striken parents. Elmer and Hazel McDermitt Wietholter are two sisters, Lois 5, and Nancy Lou, 3 months, a brother Daniel, 4, the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wietholter and Mr. and Mrs. Fred McDermitt of St. Marys and the great gradmother, Mrs. Martha Ramga of Lima. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, and at 2 o'clock from the St. Peter's Evangelical and Reformed Church, New Bremen, with Rev. Elmer Fahringer officiating. Burial will be in the Schwaberow cemetery, east of New Bremen. Friends may call at the Funeral Home at any time.
