Additional: Worthington—Gladys L. Vornholt, 82, 55 Highland Terrace and formerly of Route 33A, St. Marys, died at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. She moved to Worthington ten years ago from St. Marys. She was born Feb. 6, 1917, in Willshire to D.B. and Manurva Carter Walters. On Jan. 22, 1949 she married Lester Vornholt and he died June 30, 1995. She is survived by one daughter, Shirley Harp of Hilliard; and one son, Larry Vornholt of Columbus; one sister-in-law, Marguerite Vornholt of St. Marys; three nephews; John of Sidney, Richard of St. Marys, and Steve of Harris, Mo. She was preceded in death by one son, James, who died in infancy. Mrs. Vornholt was a 1936 graduate of Willshire HIgh School. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, the Hawthorne Chapter, Order of Eastern Star and a former member of the Rural Women's Club. She was retired from the dietary department of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. Mary Kay Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be directed to Hospice of Riverside, Columbus.
