She was born Feb. 15, 1925, in Burkettsville, to Henry and Elizabeth (Geier) Geise. On April 7, 1945, she married Wilbur J. Thobe, who survives. Other survivors are two sons and their wives, Kenneth and Linda of Minster, and James F. and Jeannie of New Bremen; a sister and her husband, Mildred and Lester Kinniger, Sidney; three sisters, Loretta Schulze, Sidney, Esther Smith, Dayton, and Viola Sitzman, Dayton; two brothers and their wives, Robert and Evelyn Geise, and Charles and Ruth Geise, all of Coldwater; a sister-in-law and her husband, Nothburga and Butch Geise, Coldwater; a stepsister and her husband, Jose and Robert Knapke, Coldwater; and 10 grandchildren. Deceased are three brothers. She was a self-employed cookware salesperson, and a member of St. John Catholic Church and its Ladies Sodality, Maria Stein. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Emil Labbe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Calling is 2-9 p.m. Thursday and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
