Additional: Mrs. Frances Thuman, 52, R.R. 3, Wapakoneta, died at Lima Memorial hospital at 9 a.m. Monday. She had been ill for quite some time and a patient at the hospital for 12 days. She was born on August 12, 1914, in Auglaize County to Frank J. and Minnie A. Trunk Whetstone. Both parents reside in Buckland. She was married to Richard Thuman on October 12, 1940. Her husband survives along with the parents, a sister, Mrs. Karl (Ruth) Hughes, R.R.4, Wapakoneta, a brother, Eldon Whetstone, St. Marys, four nieces and two nephews. A brother Gerald is deceased. Mrs. Thuman was a member of the Buckland United Church of Christ and of the church's CCC Sunday School class. She had been employed at Hayes Industries, Spencerville. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Buckland United Church of Christ. Rev. Earl M. Vore will officiate with interment to follow in Buckland cemetery. Friends may call at the Bayliff and Sons funeral home, Cridersville, after 7 p.m. today and until noon Thursday, when the corpse will be moved to the church to lie in state.
