Additional: Don E. Tomberlin, 68, 808 Parkway Drive, St. Marys, died at 3:50 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at his home following a six-year illness. He was born June 12, 1932, in Garnett, Kan., the son of Archie and Cora (Edmond) Tomberlin. He married Susan Stephenson, who survives. Other survivors include two sons, Randy (Teri) Tomberlin of St. Marys and Rick Tomberlin of Decatur, Texas; a sister, Marie (Bill) Davis of Hutchison, Kan.; a brother, Archie Tomberlin of New Mexico; four grandchildren, Precious Meinerding, Ty Tomberlin, Chance Tomberlin and Amy Schmidt; and two great- grandchildren, Dylan Meinerding and Gage Schmidt. He was preceded in death by two sisters, and two brothers. Mr. Tomberlin retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in St. Marys after 43 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. A graduate of Garnett High School in Garnett, Kan., he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9289 in St. Marys. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling. Private family services will be held. Memorials may be directed to the St. Peter's Neurological Center, Fort Recovery, in care of Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys, Ohio 45885.
