Additional: Mrs. Rose Settlage, age 84, widow of Lewis Settlage, R.R.1, New Knoxville, died at 10:30 a.m. today at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Schroeder, her son-in-law and daughter, with whom she had been living. She had been ill with complications for some time but her death came suddenly. She was born April 10, 1876 at New Bremen, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Heil. She was married June 6, 1899 to Lewis Settlage, who preceded her in death. Surviving her are three children, Rev. H.E. Settlage, Magley, Ind., Mrs. Lawrence (Lydia) Schroeder, R.R.1, New Knoxville and Noah Settlage, R.R.1, New Knoxville. A son, Reinhardt died in 1918. There are 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. One sister, Mrs. Amelia Roberts, lives in Milton, W. Va., and there are two brothers, Ferdinand and Herbert Heil, both of St. Marys. Mrs. Settlage was a member of the First United Church of Christ at New Knoxville and was a member of the German Bible Class and the Ladies Aid Society. Funeral services are arranged for Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Vornholt Funeral Home, New Bremen, and at 2 p.m. at the First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville. The Rev. F.J. Lowenbergh will officiate. Burial will take place in Pilger Ruhe cemetery, New Knoxville. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday at the Vornholt Funeral Home.
