Additional: Phoebe T. Settlage, 83, a former New Knoxville resident, died at 6 a.m. Friday at Fairhaven Home, Upper Sandusky, where she had resided since Nov. 28, 1973. She was born April 29, 1898 in Spencerville, the daughter of William and Madeline (Fledderjohann) Settlage. Survivors include one brother, Dr. Arnold Settlage of Napa, Cal., and a stepmother Alice Settlage of Fairhaven Home, Upper Sandusky. Miss Settlage was a professor of voice at Heidelberg College, in Tiffin and at Cottey College in Nevada, Mo. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ in New Knoxville where memorial services were held at 1 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Richard W. Sather officiating. Her body had been donated to the Ohio Medical College in Toledo. Bringman and Co. Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky were in charge of the arrangements.
