She was born Feb. 13, 1908, in Osgood, to Stephan and Mary (Winner) Bergman. On Sept. 29, 1929, she married Aloys H. Sommer, who died Nov. 26, 1974. Survivors are three sons and their wives, Richard and Mary Ann of Bowling Green, Ky., Aloys Jr. and Marilyn of New Bremen, and Albert and Marilyn of Sidney; a son, Donald of Anna, a daughter and her husband, Dorothy and Urban Bertke, New Bremen, a daughter, Marilyn Heyne, Coldwater, a sister, Henrietta Thobe, Anna; 25 grandchildren, 52 great- grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Deceased are a daughter-in-law, Maryann, and four great-grandchildren. She was employed at Sieberling Rubber, and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, New Bremen Senior Citizens, and St. Michaels Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of St. John, Fort Loramie. Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. William Hoyng officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Calling is 3-8 p.m. Friday and 9-9:30 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster. Contributions can be made to Anna and Botkins Rescue Squad.
