She was born Jan. 13, 1914, in Botkins, to Joseph and Edith (Craft) Wesbecher. On Feb. 23, 1938, she married Herbert B. Sommer who died Sept. 9, 1992. Survivors are a son and his wife, William and Linda of Covington; two daughters and their husbands, Barbara and Elmer Broering, Burkettsville, and Marilyn and Lee Fortkamp, Minster; a sister and her husband, Viola and Louis Hemmert, Botkins; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Deceased are two brothers. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, and its St. Monica Ladies Sodality. Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Revs. Matt Jozefiak and Albert Reed officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery. Calling is 2-9 p.m. Tuesday and 9-9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
