Additional: Kittie Leota Short, 78, formerly of Wapakoneta, died at 6:35 p.m. Sunday in Wapakoneta Manor Nursing Home. Born Jan. 17, 1904 in St. Marys, she was the daughter of William and Margaret (Swartz) Kramer. On Oct. 4, 1918, she married Charles E. Short who died Sept. 5, 1974. Survivors include three sons, Charles Short Jr. of Lima; William Short of Wapakoneta; Robert Short of Lakeview; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Short was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Six brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. She was a retired employee of the DWG Cigar Co. in Lima. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Siferd Westwood Chapel, Lima with the Rev. Willard Thomas officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
