Paul Schmieder, 62, formerly of East Fifth Street, Minster, died at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster, where he had resided the past 16 years. He was born June 27, 1938, in Lexington, Ky., the son of Carl and Leona (Schmitmeyer) Schmieder. Survivors include three brothers, Carl (Herberta) Schmieder of Milford, the Rev. Mark C. Schmieder of Cincinnati and Luke (Judy) Schmieder of Denver; and three sisters, Lisa (Brian) Kostuch of Dayton, Darlene (Monte) Dieringer of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Linda (Leroy) Lautenschlager of St. Louis. Mr. Schmieder was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Augustine Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Schmieder officiating. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster.
