Additional: The Rev. John M. Sailer, 82, pastor of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Dayton and former pastor of Holy Rosary Church, St. Marys, died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday at Miami, Fla, where he was vacationing. He was the founder of St. Agnes church in 1915 and had been pastor there ever since. He was a native of Germany and had spent most of his childhood in North Dakota. He attended Renssalaer, Ind., seminary, St. Gregory and Mount St. Marys seminaries in Cincinnati. The Rev. Father Sailer offered his first mass in St. Catherine's church in Valley City N.D. and received his first appointment as professor at St. Gregory seminary in 1904. Two years later he was assigned to St. Beniggius Catholic church in Greenfield. From 1908 to 1915 he served as pastor of St. Sebastion church, Mercer county and Holy Rosary Catholic Church St. Marys. The Office of the Dead will be chanted for the Rev. Father Sailer Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. A pontifical mass of requiem will be chanted at 10:30 a.m. in St. Agnes church.
