Additional: George Simons, a well known young man of St. Johns, died at the Giberson house in that village early last Sunday morning of consumption. He was aged 24 years, 1 month and 18 days, and leaves a young wife. The deceased was a soldier in the Spanish-American war and afterwards served in the Phillipines. While in the service he contracted the disease which brought his untimely end. The funeral was held from the Christian church and the services were conducted by Rev. Leonard. Interment at St. Johns cemetery.
