Additional: Ferd L. Stroh, age 80, 207 Eastway Court, Villa Nova, died at 4:20 a.m. today at Joint Township Memorial hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Stroh was found unconscious by his son, Richard when he stopped at the home to visit with him. He apparently had suffered a stroke earlier in the evening. Mr. Stroh was born May 5, 1883 in Auglaize County, a son of Conrad and Anna Hauss Stroh. On Oct.4, 1911 he married Henrietta Kemper, who survives along with three sons, Harold of Celina, Richard and Robert of St. Marys, six grandchildren, one brother, Carl Stroh, St. Marys, one sister, Mrs. William Shannon, Wapakoneta and a half-sister, Mrs. Ida Martin, Wapakoneta. He was last employed at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He had been retired for some time. He was a member of Auglaize Aerie 767, Fraternal Order of Eagles. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Vore and Folk Funeral home with the Rev. Howard H. Poetter officiating. Burial will take place in Greenlawn cemetery at Wapakoneta. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.
