He was born Nov. 26, 1943, in Lima, to Alfred and Margaret (Rupert) Snyder. On April 13, 1963, he married Ruth Merriman, who survives in St. Marys. They were later divorced. Other survivors are a son and his wife, Scott and Claudette of St. Marys; two sons, Brad of Sidney, and T.J. of St. Marys; a daughter and her husband, Nan and Duane Dickrede, Delphos; and five grandchildren. Deceased are his parents and a sister, Janie Kent. He was retired from Parker-Hannifan Corp., St. Marys, and performed as a drummer in a number of bands, including The Countrymen and the Dependables. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, St. Marys, and North American Hunting Association. He was a 1962 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Bill Schultz officiating. Burial is at Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton. Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Contributions can be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Delphos, or St. Rita's Hospital Cancer Unit.
