Additional: Carl Schrolucke, 83, 300 W. Bremen St., New Knoxville, died at 6:46 p.m. Dec. 11 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys. He was born March 21, 1916, in Auglaize County to William and Sophia (Schroer) Schrolucke. On Nov. 6, 1941, he married Wilhelmina "Minnie" Kuck, who died Nov. 14, 1994. Survivors are a daughter and her husband, Lori and David Foster, Mount Prospect, Ill., and two daughters, Carol of Mount Prospect and Jean of Findley; a son, Tedd of St. Marys; a sister, Alice Steinebrugge, Cridersville,; and three granddaughters. Deceased are three sisters, Irma Wehmeyer, Olga Piehl and Hulda Schroer, and four brothers Harry, Florenz, Arnold and Albert. He was retired after working as a kiln and boiler operator at Hoge Lumber Co,. New Knoxville, was a former New Knoxville police chief and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the First United Church of Christ and American Legion Post 444, both of New Knoxville. Services are at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. David Hunt officiating. Burial is at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville. Calling is 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Vornholt-Miller Funeral Home, New Knoxville. Contributions can be made to the church radio broadcast fund or the American Heart Association.
