Additional: Bessie Elizabeth Sweigart, 64, of 815 Cleveland, died at 1:15 a.m. Wednesday at her home of a heart attack. Born, Mar. 13, 1899 in Dunkirk, she was the daughter of Frank and Rose Ellen (Bausman) Parker. The family moved to St. Marys in 1901. In 1916, she was married to Orvil Sweigart, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Merlin (Almalea) Winer and Mrs. Ivan (Beatrice) Chivington, both of St. Marys; and Mrs. Walter (Leona) Sheets of Dayton; a sister, Mrs. John (Inez) Schell of St. Marys; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Two sons, Orvil and Carter, were killed in World War II. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Yoder-Long Funeral Home in St. Marys. Rev. Frank Hamblen will officiate and burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery.
