Additional: Adam F. Sturgill, 70, St. Marys, formerly of 19413 Center Road, Wapakoneta, died at 1:05 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at his residence. He was born May 3, 1930, in Manton, Ky., the son of Crawford and Nora (Risner) Sturgill. On Dec. 20, 1952, he married Avonell Perry in Prestonburg, Ky. and she survives. Other survivors include four sons, Adam (Julie) Sturgill and William Keith (Tami) Sturgill, both of Wapakoneta, and Roger Dean Sturgill and Michael "Joe" (Gwen) Sturgill, both of St. Marys; two daughters, Freda (Karl) Turner and Jennifer Sturgill, both of St. Marys; two brothers, Joe (Joyce) Sturgill of Lima and Hasadore Sturgill of Titusville, Fla.; two sisters, Sadie Hunter of Martin, Ky., and Donna Pannell of Louisa, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters. Mr. Sturgill was retired from the Ford Motor Co., Lima Engine Plant, where he was a maintenance technician. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans. He also enjoyed auto racing. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys with the Rev. Samuel Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donors choice.
