He was born Nov. 10, 1924, in Minster, to Frank and Elenora (Baumer) Riethman. On June 22, 1946, he married Mary C. Riethman who survives. Other survivors are four sons and their wives, Ronald and Eileen, and Donald and Kendra, all of Minster, Bill and Nancy of New Bremen, and Frederick and Nance of Coldwater; four daughters and their husbands, Barbara and Steve Bradford, Columbus, Patricia and Henry Barhorst, Fort Loramie, Karen and Paul Frey and Chris and Harold Long, all of New Bremen; a brother, Edwin of Minster; a sister, Rosemary Albers, New Bremen; 22 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Deceased are two sisters. He was retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. Marys, and was a farmer. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Fraternal Order of Eagles 1391 and Cataract Volunteer Fire Department. Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. William Hoyng officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery. Calling is 3-9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster. Contributions can be made to St. Peter Neurological Center and Minster Area Life Squad.
