Additional: Ohio City—Susan Kay Ruwoldt, 48, of 11512 Snyder Rd., Ohio City, died unexpectedly of a brief illness at 11:31 p.m. Jan. 20 at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, Ind. She was born Sept. 28, 1951 in St. Marys to Thomas A. and Erma J. (Irish) Langenkamp, and her mother survives. On Dec. 28, 1985, she married Jerry L. Ruwoldt, who survives at the same address. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Erma (and Earl) Suchland of St. Marys; her mother-in-law, Ruth Ruwoldt of Montezuma; two sons, Jessie Marlow and Tony Hatfield, both of Ohio City; three stepsons, Jeremy Ruwoldt of Mendon, Joey Ruwoldt of Delphos and Mike Young of Ohio City; three stepdaughters, Katie Wilson, Karen Monfort and Kris Shrimp, all of Spencerville, two sisters, and a brother-in-law, Tim (and Sheilah) Langenkamp of Greenville and Ted (and Shelly) Langenkamp of Cridersville; 18 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Thomas A. Langenkamp Jr. A graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School and Lima Technical College, Mrs. Ruwoldt was a partner in Ohio City Auto, J&S Books & Antiques and Ruwoldt Kennels, all located in Ohio City. She previously owned the Bargain Warehouse in Van Wert. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Long & Folk Funeral Home in St. Marys, with the Rev. Mary K. Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
