Other survivors are a son, Jeffrey Slone, St. Marys; a daughter and her husband, Gwen and Joe Sturgill, St. Marys; a daughter, Marnetta Slone, St. Marys; five sisters, Bertha Bradley, St. Marys, Shirley Orick, St. Marys, Sally Fredericks, Frankfort, Ind., Mary Roller, Chicago and Sandy Bruns, St. Marys; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Deceased is a son, Michael Slone, and a brother, John. Retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, St. Marys. Member of the St. Marys Missionary Baptist Church, Sunday School Superintendent,choir director and pianist. He was a U.S. Army veteran. at the church, the Rev. Alva Daniel officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys. Calling is at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys. Contributions can be made to the church.
