Redick, 85, Sidney, formerly of Jackson Center and Dayton, died at 1:55 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2001, at Dorothy Love Retirement Community in Sidney, where she had resided the past 10 years. She was born Feb. 25, 1916, in Minster, the daughter of Frank and Johanna (Luebke) Moorman. On Feb. 26, 1938, she married Garland F. Redick, who died Oct 16, 1994. Survivors include three sons, John (Joella) Redick of Eaton, James (Cheryl) Redick of Orlando, Fla., and Joseph (Joni) Redick of Mililani, Hawaii; four daughters, Ann Myers of Versilles, Sandra (Lex) Barker of Tucson, Ariz., Jacqui (Charlie) Valentine of Loveland and Vicki (Ray) Woodie of Dayton; three brothers, Paul (Donna) Moorman and Dave (Ginny) Moorman, both of Minster, and Jerry (Joan) Boyd of Dayton; two sisters, Dorothy (Al) Niese of Wapakoneta and Jane Ahlers of Chicago; 32 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three daughters, Sharon Palmer, Debra Klopfenstein and Mary Agnes Redick; a son-in-law, Cris Myers; eight brothers, Hugo Moorman, Richard Moorman, Harry Moorman, the Rev. Ed Moorman, the Rev. Greg Moorman, Gene Moorman, Virgil Moorman and Gene Boyd; and two sisters, Frances Boyd and Freda Gudorf. A homemaker, Mrs. Redick was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Botkins and a former member of the Extension Club in Jackson Center. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church witrh the Rev. James Trick officiating. Burial will be in Spencerville Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Van Horn Funeral Home in Jackson Center and one hour prior to services Monday at the Church. Memorials may be directed to the Dorothy Love Retirement Community. Arrangements are being handled by the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home in Wapakoneta
