Additional: Wapakoneta—Laverta M. Roettger, 76, formerly of 88 Autumn Lane, died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, at 7 a.m. at Auglaize Acres, Wapakoneta. She was born March 22, 1922, in Lock Two, daughter of Ferd and Mathilda (Backhaus) Roettger. She is survived by two brothers, Earl Roettger of Toledo, and Edward C. Roettger of Minster; three nieces and five nephews. A brother preceded her in death. Miss Roettger, a graduate of New Bremen High School, was a retired waitress from the Hub Restaurant in Wapakoneta. She was a former member of the Eagles Auxiliary of St. Marys. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Long & Folk Funeral Home in St. Marys, with the Rev. Joachim K. Wilck officiating. Burial will be in Willow Grove Cemetery, New Bremen. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
