Additional: Estella Runkle, 70, 229 Stewart Drive, died Thursday (Jan. 9, 1986) at 7:35 p.m. at the Wilson Memorial Hospital. She had been in failing health the past month. She was born Dec. 19, 1915, in Minster, daughter of John and Amelia (Naber) Heil. On Nov. 7, 1936, she was married to Daniel Runkle. He survives with a son, William of Indianapolis, Ind., a granddaughter, two sisters, Elsie Heil of Sidney, and Mrs. Loy (Alma) Knasel of Anna, and a brother, Werner Heil of Minster. Mrs. Runkle was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and had been office secretary for the church for 16 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member and past president of the Altar Rosary Sodality. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Robert J. Thorsen officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Friends may call at the Salm & Wiley Funeral Home Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Holy Angels Church restoration fund.
