Additional: Elmer W. Roediger, 91, 5303 Lock Two Road, New Bremen, died at 11 p.m. May 18, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster. He was born Feb. 23, 1910, in New Knoxville to Henry J. and Anne (Eschmeyer) Roediger. On March 30, 1933, he married Geraldine Fledderjohann, who survives. Other survivors are a son and his wife, Gene and Grace, and a son, Carl, all of New Bremen; two sisters, Marie Danmeyer and Mildred Sudman, both of St. Marys; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Deceased are two great-grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, Melba, six brothers, Walter, Kenneth, Chester, Emil, Vernon and Frank, and three sisters, Ruth Johnson, Leota Kellermeyer, and Esther Hegmier. He was retired as a farmer and timber buyer and was a member of First United Church of Christ of New Knoxville. Services are at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, Rev. David Hunt officiating. Burial is at Evangelical Protestant Cemetery, New Knoxville. Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, and 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services at the church. Contributions can be made to the church Radio Fund.
