Additional: Services for Alvina E. Quellhorst, 96, of 122 N. Franklin St., New Bremen, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Gilberg Funeral Home, New Bremen. The Rev. Larry K. May will officiate. Burial will be in the German Protestant Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today and until the time of the services tomorrow. Mrs. Quellhorst died at 10:20 a.m. Saturday in the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ewald Kuck, 420 S. Washington St., New Bremen, where she had made her home for the past six months. Death was attributed to infirmities of age. Born April 15, 1883, in German Township, west of New Bremen, she was the daughter of Anton and Rosina (Sollman) Borgeding. On June 20, 1901 she was married to Ed H. Quellhorst who died Dec. 21, 1967. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs Ewald (Esther) Kuck, 10 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Della Dressel, five sisters and a brother preceded her in death. Mrs. Quellhorst was a lifelong member of St. Paul United Church of Christ and moved to New Bremen in 1937. Those wishing to give memorials are asked to direct them to St. Paul Church Memorial Fund or the charity of the donor's choice.
