Additional: Pauline H. Poeppelman, 88, formerly of Fort Loramie, died at 12:25 p.m. March 26 at Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster. She was born Nov. 26, 1912, in Egypt, to Bernard and Catherine (Hartings) Albers. On June 5, 1935, she married Herman J. Poeppelman, who died Aug. 7, 1998. Survivors are five daughters and their husbands, Marilyn and Cyril Hoelscher, Anita and Ted Barhorst, Janet and Norman Barhorst, and Mildred and Richard Eilerman, all of Fort Loramie, and Doris and LeRoy Kramer, Newport; four sons and their wives, Lavern and Mary Jo of Fort Loramie, Bob and Betty of Osgood, Bernard and Judy of Newport, and Paul and Dott of Russia; 35 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. Deceased are a daughter, Thelma, a brother, four sisters, a grandchild and four great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and its St. Ann Rosary and Altar sodalities, and Knights of St. John Auxiliary 284, both of Fort Loramie. She was a promoter of the apostleship of Prayer of Church. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Steven Shoup officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster. Contributions can be made to Darke-Mercer County Hospice.
