Additional: Edward W. Price, age 79, retired city mail carrier, died suddenly at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the family residence at 427 West Jackson street, death being due to a lung hemorrhage. Mr. Price had been in failing health for some time but seemed no worse than usual until shortly before his death. He was born in Pleasant Hill, O., on April 7, 1863, a son of the late Isaac and Jane Price. On December 2, 1884, he married Julia Weber, who preceded him in death in 1935. On October 7, 1936, he married Margaret Gayer who is left to mourn his death together with three children by his first marriage. They are Mrs. V.C. Snider of Monroe, Mich., Mrs. Rufus Gorham of Bluffton and Mrs. Lee Stockwell of Sidney. On daughter, Mrs. Rolland Snider is deceased. Besides his wife and children he is survived by 15 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Two brothers and a sister are Charles of Stockton, Calif., and John Price of San Jose, Calif., and Mrs. Lambert Koppock of Portland, Ore. There are a great many friends in St. Marys and in the neighborhood of Covington and Pleasant Hill where he formerly lived. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren at Covington. For many years he was active here in the Odd Fellows lodge, now disbanded. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Price residence. Burial will take place in Elmgrove cemetery. Friends may call Thursday and Friday evenings between 7 and 9 o'clock at the residence.
