Additional: Former St. Marys resident Julia Marie Tschantz Olson, 91, 5404 Montgomery Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, N.M., died at 5:45 p.m. June 21 in Albuquerque. She was born Jan. 10, 1909, in St. Marys, to August F. and Mary S. (Dickman) Mackenbach. On Feb. 16, 1934, she married Thomas R. Tschantz, who died Dec. 22, 1946. On Dec. 30, 1966, she married Herbert A. Olson, who died Oct. 21, 1987. Survivors are a daughter, Susan A. Satter, Albuquerque, N.M.; a stepson and his wife, Dale and Nancy of Hayword, Calif.; a sister, Lillian Moul, St. Marys; a brother, Dr. Charles W. Mackenbach, St. Marys; three grandchildren, four great- grandchildren, and several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. Deceased are three brothers, Albert S., Edgar J. and Paul A. Mackenbach. She was a former junior high school teacher for St. Marys City Schools, and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, St. Marys. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, St. Marys, Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority, and a former member of Progress Club and Drama Club, both of St. Marys. She was a 1932 graduate of Capital University, Columbus, and a 1927 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Joachim K. Wilck officiating. Private burial services were held in Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys. Contributions can be made to the church. Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, handled arrangements.
