Additional: Stanley M. Nolte, 52, of 16996 St. Rt 198, Wapakoenta and formerly of Bevercreek, died at his residence at 10:05 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, 1997, after a two year battle with renal cell cancer. He was born Oct. 28, 1944, in Sidney, to Donald and Lorraine (Alspach) Nolte, and his mother survives in St. Marys. On Oct. 22, 1966, he married Kay Ellen Elshoff, and she survives. He is also survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jay T. Nolte, Dayton, and Craig A. and Heather Nolte, Columbus, in-laws, Lester and Mary Elshoff, New Knoxville; and a brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Jolene Nolte, New Knoxville. He was preceded in death by his father. Mr. Nolte granduated from New Knoxville High school in 1963, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was owner of Afford-A-Call, Lima, and more recently the owner of International Telemanagement Group of Lima. He was a member of the First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville, where he played a vital role in the operation of the church's radio ministry program, which is broadcast live every week. He was a member of the Lima Noon Optimist Club, and a trustee of the "Count Your Blessings" Foundation of Lima. Mr. Nolte enjoyed traveling. Services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Heritage Room of the First United Church of Christ in New Knoxville, with Rev. David Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville. Memorial donations may be made to the First United Church of Christ Radio Broadcast Fund or to St. Rita's Hospice in care of Vornholt-Miller Funeral Home, in New Knoxville. Vornholt-Miller Funeral Home in New Knoxville were in charge of the arrangements.
