He was born Jan. 17, 1924, in Minster, to Henry and Dora (Zircher) Niemeyer. On Oct. 5, 1946, he married Norma R. Brucken, who died May 2, 2001. Survivors are two sons and their wives, Thomas and Angie of Minster, and Ronald and Angie of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a daughter and her husband, Susan and Thomas Kelly, Columbus; a sister and her husband, Erma and Ray Barhorst, Fort Loramie; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was a self-employed petroleum distributor. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster; the Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE) 1391, Minster; the Sidney Elks and Knights of Columbus, Minster. He was U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II, and was a member of the American Legion Post 387, and Veterans of Foreign Wars., both of Minster. Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. William Hoyng officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery. Calling is from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
