Additional: Akron—Margaret Yahl Nockengost, 96, died Oct. 21, 1999 in Akron where she had been a resident for 64 years. She was born June 8, 1903 in St. Marys to Frank and Elizabeth Timmerman Yahl. She married George F. Nockengost and he preceded her in death. She is survived by one son George and Mary Nockengost of Norton; a daughter-in-law Catherine Nockengost of Fort Myers, Fla.; one sister Alma Smith of St. Marys; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son William, a grandson James, and two brothers and three sisters. Mrs. Nockengost retired from the Akron Public Schools after teaching for 40 years. She spent many of those years teaching at Barber Grace School in Akron. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron. She was a member of the Georgetone Chapter AARP; the Ohio University Women's Club of Akron; College Club of Akron and the Akron Retired Teachers Association. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Miller Funeral Home in St. Marys with the Rev. Joachim Wilck officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services at Miller Funeral Home.
