Additional: Meta L. Niemeyer, 83, of 306 S. Mill St., New Knoxville, died of a heart attack Wednesday at 5:27 p.m. at Joint Township District Hospital, St. Marys, where she had been a patient one day. Born September 28, 1894 in New Knoxville, she was the daughter of Henry and Fredericka (Schroer) Stukenbrok. On May 7, 1914, she was married to Benjamin Niemeyer, who preceded her in death on February 29, 1976. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Norville (Joyce) Freymuth, of Rt. 6, Wapakoneta; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. William (Mahalia) Nuesmeyer, of St. Marys; and Mrs. Ferd (Selma) Lutterbeck, of New Knoxville. A grandson and a sister preceded her in death. Mrs. Niemeyer was a member of the First United Methodist Church, New Knoxville; the Women's Guild of the church; the church Hospital Guild; and the New Knoxville Senior Citizens. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the First United Church of Christ, New Knoxville, the Rev. Richard B. Meckstroth officiating. Burial will be in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville. Friends may call at the Vornholt Funeral Home, New Knoxville, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and until 11 a.m. Saturday when the body will be moved to the church to lie in state until the time of services.
