He was born July 25, 1925, in Greenville, the son of Harry D. and Nelle (Miller) Neiswonger. On Oct 21, 1955, he married Joanne Martin, who survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Susan (Larry) Miller of West Manchester; a nephew, James (Wanda) Neiswonger of Greenville; a niece, Donna Kay (Fred) Wright of Greenville; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Hugh Neiswonger, in 1974; and three brothers, Hugh E. Neiswonger, Donald R. Neiswonger and Billy E. Neiswonger. Mr. Neiswonger was retired as supervisor of Real Estate at American Aggregates. He served in the Naval Construction Batallion. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Greenville, a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars in Greenville, former executive director of the Great Lakes District of the National Federation and a member of Friends and Relatives of Gays (FROG). Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Greenville with the Rev. Duane Smith officiating. Burial will follow at the family's convenience. There will be no public visitation. Memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church or Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Center, 11230 State Route 364, St. Marys.
